My name is Jonathan Wendy Gabriel also known as Theweezy and I’m a music producer with twist of Africa. My music production story started when I dropped out of university in Congo and travelled to Kampala Uganda in 2013 then only as an aspiring Club Dj with a great passion for Electro music and self taught production skills.

Kampala, a different vibrant city with hundreds of radio stations and a high rate of new musicians got me meeting the right people including Bigtril, the hot selling Rapper at the time and overnight the hit song Jabashake a first of the kind electro hiphop dance jam was made and received massive response locally, within East Africa and internationally including Dj Benny D, Akon’s personal Dj .
This opened the door to keko, best selling female rapper in Africa signed to sony BMG and i got to co produce her album "Stride", that was released in 2017 under Sony music group South Africa. In 2015 i got to work on my first biggest Record called Pretty girls by Bigtril, a hip-hop song that made it straight to the African big screens including MTV base. This caught the eyes and ears of local hiphop star Mun*G - and ‘Byayanga‘ a home favorite which scooped several local awards and because of it mixing and mastering quality it gave birth to the relationship that got me co-producing 'Juicy Juicy' a texas steak inspired song by East Africa’s BET winners Radio and Weasel who got an overwhelming African response on Trace and MTV Base Africa channels.

My experiences spanning 6 years has made me a very sought out African producer from Electronic to Afrobeat and my understanding of the creation of subcultures has given birth to signature and unique repertoires that have since given my production it’s identity.... Theweezy on the beat! 

In January 2016 we released a record that went viral and unto Mtv Base Africa countdown number 4

November 2016 i produced the monster track Body by a dancehall artist Rabadaba ft Jody Phibi a Rwandese vocalist , strong danceable drums and synth bass unto date it's one of the records that changed the music industry with its mixing and mastering. The track won 4 awards + the Uganda Music Awards Producer of the year 2017

My intent is to create sound that stands out, is instantly identifiable, and speaks the language of music and awakens the Congolese uniqueness in Africa, a sound only we have. Besides, Production, I also manage Hit Nature, a trending duo signed under 'Theweezy Enterprises' a company owned by Theweezy on the Beat. The duo had the biggest song of 2018, 'Twazikoze' which it has been on the chart for 11 months and 7 months as number 1.
